Jennifer Russell offers marketing communication support for small businesses and non-profits. Her writing skills, savvy marketing sense, and experience as a strategist for getting the word out about her clients’ events, products, and services make Jennifer a valuable asset for any small business or non-profit. Jennifer has had a great deal of success working with businesses to land grants, hold successful fund raisers, announce grand openings, and even launch new products. Although having an effective marketing plan involves many aspects, Jennifer has a particular affinity (and skill) for writing grants: “I love writing grants! I love the research behind grant-writing, and there’s nothing better than when a foundation says ‘yes’!”

Through her work with several clients from a variety of businesses, Jennifer has learned that creating a successful marketing plan begins with a good understanding of her client and what her clients’ vision for the business is. Jennifer spends a good deal of time getting to know her clients to ensure that the marketing strategy reflects the clients’ personality and intention. Together, Jennifer and her clients create a marketing plan that reflects the business and targets the intended audience.

Just as Jennifer’s emphasis on tailoring a marketing and communications plan that fits her clients’ personality has led to successful marketing strategies, her focus also fits nicely with Jennifer’s membership at the Grand River WorkPlace, 19120 Grand River. At the WorkPlace, she is able to focus on her work, meet with clients, even make coffee when she wants.  Jennifer especially likes the “comfortable space” of the WorkPlace, and the “conference room amenity.” According to Jennifer, Larissa Carr, the manager of the WorkPlace is “great. Very friendly and helpful.” Jennifer’s favorite feature of the WorkPlace is its presence in the Grandmont Rosedale community: “The best part is being able to walk to work.” A native of Joplin, Missouri, Jennifer and her husband chose to live in Grandmont Rosedale after a good deal of research. “No other place had the community feel like Grandmont Rosedale,” says Jennifer. Being able to walk to her workplace makes Grandmont Rosedale feel even more like a small town.
