Do you have money sitting in a bank account or CD earning less than 1% interest? Ever wish you could put that money to work supporting the growth and development of businesses in your community? GRDC and the Opportunity Resource Fund (OppFund) may have an opportunity for you.
GRDC, with OppFund, has created the GRDC Neighborhood Fund to offer residents and other individuals the opportunity to invest a portion of their savings in a fund that will support small business growth in the Grandmont Rosedale community. OppFund is a statewide non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) supporting affordable housing and small business development across Michigan. OppFund will manage the new fund in accordance with their well-established and successful micro-loan program.
OppFund will host an informational meeting at the GRDC office on Thursday, March 27th at 7:00 PM to fully explain the risks and rewards of investing in this exciting new initiative. GRDC is located at 19800 Grand River.
