This past Sunday volunteers began the initial work at Stoepel Park, digging holes, installing poles and pouring concrete for a fence improvement project around the little league fields! This project – a joint collaboration by the Rosedale Grandmont Little League, GRDC, the Brightmoor Alliance, Ford Motor Company, Lowe’s, Keep America Beautiful, the Detroit Tigers Foundation, the City of Detroit, and Wayne County – is the first phase of a larger park improvement project that will bring walking paths and expanded parking to Stoepel, along with many other improvements.

Cathy Marshall, GRDC’s Deputy Director was at the park Sunday helping alongside the volunteers.
