The Grandmont Rosedale Creative Arts Summer Youth Program is proud to present a fun filled evening of community art and theatre! Please join us on Saturday August 31st from 4 to 6 pm at the North Rosedale Park Community House, as we celebrate the work of community youth in this summer’s creative arts youth program. Throughout this summer, youth have been having fun learning about art through a series of field trips, creative arts workshops, and theatrical education sessions. The event will showcase the various forms of art created throughout this summer’s program as well as a play written and created by the program youth. These young people have worked to learn various forms of art such as photography, pottery, jewelry, craft making, in addition to visiting some of Detroit’s most prominent artistic arena’s including the Detroit Institute of Arts, The Heidelberg Project, The Hillberry Theatre and Redford’s artist village.  This event will also have a special showcase on our youth’s community improvement project, which recently painted a beautiful community themed mural in Minock Park! This is a great opportunity to come out and meet the community’s young people and help to celebrate youth art in our community. This fun filled evening will also include light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.  Tickets are on sale for only $5 and space is limited, so get your tickets to this fantastic event today!
