It’s almost Juneteenth! Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation is back again with the annual Spring Block Party. This will be the 2nd annual Spring Block Party and it will happen on June 18th from 11am to 3pm at Grandmont Rosedale’s newest park, the Grand Parklet located on the corner of Evergreen and Grand River. In addition to celebrating black history and culture with Juneteenth celebration, the Spring Block Party will also bring people together to celebrate the Grandmont Rosedale neighborhoods and to bring shoppers to the Grand River business corridor and visiting vendors. Local and state legislators will be at the party too to officially open the Grand Parklet for activities and programming. The Grand Parklet is designed to beautify our commercial corridor and to promote walkability by inviting residents and visitors to shop, eat, and explore Grandmont Rosedale.

GRAND RIVER BUSINESS ASSOCIATION RE-LAUNCHES!

GRDC is partnering with the newly relaunched Grand River Business Association (GRBA) and District 1 on the Spring Block Party. This will be the first public event for GRBA members and an opportunity for the Association to introduce themselves to the wider community. Attend the ribbon cutting, enjoy the music, visit the vendors, have something to eat at a food truck, and watch the African dance and drums performances by Nanou Djiapo! Some of the vendors participating in the Spring Block Party include Sucrée Mobile Dessert Parlor, Love Travels Imports, Black Vibe Tees, and The Grub Bank. Also, new local business owner, Ben Hall from Circle Game Records will be there spinning records. Join us as Grandmont Rosedale celebrates Juneteenth, our growing small business community, and our wonderful neighborhoods!
