Now is a great time to visit Curbed Detroit’s 2012 Neighborhood of the Year! Grandmont Rosedale Communities in northwest Detroit will host its 8th Annual Neighborhood Open House on Sunday, May 5 from 1-5 PM. More than 15 homes will be open for viewing, most for sale but a few for rent. Registration is at the North Rosedale Park Community House, 18445 Scarsdale, where visitors can get information on tax abatement, down payment assistance, insurance, and financing options, while enjoying popcorn and refreshments. Bus tours of the five Grandmont Rosedale neighborhoods will run throughout the afternoon. Wheelhouse Detroit has scheduled a tour from downtown to the Community House, where residents will lead cyclists through the neighborhoods.
