The Grandmont Rosedale Community Garden volunteers are busy getting the community garden at Bushnell Church ready for a delicious growing season!  On Detroit Partnership Day woodchips were spread along the paths, and the gardens were cleared of debris that accumulated over the winter.  Last Saturday, the beds were cleaned out and the dirt turned over.  This Sunday, April 27, compost will be available to spread on the beds.  This is a big project and they’re looking for some help.  The work session starts at 2 pm.  If you can’t make it on the 27th, don’t worry, because there’s another work session scheduled on Saturday, May 31 from 10 am to 3 pm.  On this day in May, fence-building and repair are on the agenda.  Pitch in if you can.  As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work!”  At the Community Garden, many hands also make delicious produce!

The garden is located at  15025 Archdale. Contact Pam Weinstein at 313-231-2244 to volunteer.
