Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC) is pleased to invite providers to submit a proposal to provide technical assistance services aimed at preparing businesses to become capital-ready at our business incubator and co-working space, Grand River WorkPlace. We are seeking a qualified and experienced technical assistance provider to support our initiative in equipping businesses with the necessary tools, knowledge, and resources to successfully secure capital funding through loans.

Background:
GRDC is committed to fostering economic growth and development within our community/industry. Recognizing the vital role that access to capital plays in business success and expansion, we have initiated a program to assist local businesses in becoming better prepared to obtain capital funding from various sources.

Objective:
The primary objective of this request for proposals (RFP) is to identify and select a technical assistance provider with proven expertise in guiding businesses through the process of becoming capital ready. The selected provider will work closely with our team to deliver comprehensive assistance that addresses key aspects such as financial readiness, business planning, investor readiness, and strategic positioning.

Scope of Work:
The technical assistance services to be provided should include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Conducting assessments of participating businesses to identify their current strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in relation to capital readiness.
  • Developing customized training programs and workshops covering topics such as financial management, business planning, financial modeling, investor pitch preparation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing one-on-one advisory services and mentoring to businesses to address specific challenges and opportunities related to capital readiness.
  • Facilitating connections and networking opportunities with potential investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of participating businesses and adjusting assistance strategies as needed to ensure effectiveness.

Proposal Submission Guidelines:

Interested parties are requested to submit a comprehensive proposal in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • Cover Letter: Introduce your organization, highlight relevant experience, and express interest in the opportunity.
  • Company Profile: Provide an overview of your organization, including its history, mission, core competencies, and previous experience in providing technical assistance for capital readiness.
  • Approach and Methodology: Describe your approach to delivering technical assistance services and outline the methodologies, tools, and resources that will be utilized.
  • Team Qualifications: Provide profiles of key personnel who will be involved in delivering the services, highlighting their relevant experience, expertise, and qualifications.
  • Work Plan: Present a detailed work plan outlining the activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for the proposed engagement.
  • Budget: Provide a comprehensive budget proposal detailing the costs associated with delivering the required services, including fees, expenses, and any other relevant expenditures.
  • References: Include references from previous clients or partners who can attest to the quality and effectiveness of your technical assistance services.

Submission Deadline:
Proposals must be submitted electronically to Chelsea Salame no later than March 11th, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.

Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in providing technical assistance for capital readiness.
  • Clarity and comprehensiveness of the proposed approach, methodology, and work plan.
  • Qualifications and expertise of the proposed team members.
  • Cost-effectiveness and value proposition of the proposed budget.
  • References and track record of successful engagements with similar projects.

GRDC reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal received, to negotiate with any qualified proposer, and to cancel this RFP at any time. All costs associated with the preparation and submission of proposals shall be borne by the proposer.
