On Saturday, June 15, GRDC will be launching a new program called Trash Talkin’ – a twice-a-month series of volunteer activities that is part of the “Love Where You Live” anti-litter campaign.  These events will bring together community-minded residents to meet, share a free cup of coffee, and go out into the neighborhood to pick up litter together for one hour.  The aim is to continuously cleaning and maintaining public spaces, whether it is a park, alley or vacant lot.

We need your help in making the kick-off event a huge success! LWYL will be providing free coffee, t-shirts and supplies to volunteers. LWYL will be partnering with the 6/8th precinct and inviting the press; organizers will produce a video of the kickoff event to promote the campaign that we hope to circulate around Detroit to draw positive attention to the Grandmont Rosedale community.

The more volunteers the bigger the impact, so please spare two hours on the 15th for a great cause and bring a family member, coworker, neighbor or friend. Please see the Trash Talkin’ Flyer for further information. SIGN THE ANTI-LITTER PLEDGE CARD HERE.
