What’s New with the Farmers’ Market?

The Northwest Detroit Farmers’ Market is back for the 2013 season! Make the Farmers’ Market part of your weekly food purchases! Every Thursday from now through October 10, you can buy fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, local honey, coffee, granola, soups, and more right here in our neighborhood. The Farmers’ Market takes pride in offering a place for locally-minded buyers and sellers to come together over Michigan-grown and made products.  This season, the market added three new vendors to its lineup:

  • Always Brewing Detroit brings pour over coffee, hot and iced tea, ground and whole coffee beans, baked goods, and freshly blended drinks. Amanda will open her new coffee shop in a couple weeks at 19180 Grand River in the former Neighborhood City Hall location.
  • Jammed in Between serves delicious gourmet peanut butter flavored with chocolate, jalapenos, truffles and more!  You can try a sample, and then take home the ones you like best!
  • Detroit Food Academy helps train the next generation of food entrepreneurs, supporting young Detroiters as they design and launch their own food businesses! Make sure you get your hands on their zucchini muffins!
