Movie Night Fundraiser Filled with Holiday Cheer
On December 5, the Grandmont Rosedale Vacant Property Task Force held a successful Holiday Movie Night at the historic Redford Theater to raise funds to fight blight in our community. In addition to seeing the film Christmas Vacation, those who attended enjoyed photos with Santa, greetings from the Christ the King Church carolers, discounted concessions, and chance to win a gift basket filled with prizes donated by local businesses. Thanks to a variety of local businesses and the Redford Theatre, GRDC was able to raise more than $1100 to purchase materials for neighborhood clean-up projects!The Vacant Property Task Force (VPTF) is made up of volunteers from each of the Grandmont Rosedale neighborhoods and is dedicated to maintaining a safe and beautiful community through the clean-up of vacant properties and other outreach activities. On behalf of the VPTF volunteers, GRDC would like to thank everyone that contributed to the Holiday Movie Night fundraiser, including the businesses listed below! We can do great things and have a great time when we all come together!
