Honorary Tree Plantings
As part of GRDC’s 25th anniversary celebration, nine trees will be planted in honor of the five Grandmont Rosedale neighborhoods and four individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary support and dedication to GRDC and its mission of community stabilization. The individuals who will have trees planted in their honor are: Tom Goddeeris, Cathy Marshall, Bill Frey, and Frank Raben. The Greening of Detroit has generously donated the nine shade trees. Accompanying the trees will be cast-aluminum plaques embossed with the neighborhood association or individual’s name. You’ll get a chance to see the plaques for yourself at the July 12 Anniversary picnic before they go into the ground next to the chosen trees. A tree is a beautiful way to honor those who believe in the ongoing growth of this community.
