Sherita loves Detroit and loves community, which makes Executive Director of GRDC a dream job for her. She is excited about GRDC’s projects and appreciates working with such great people – the GRDC team, Grandmont Rosedale residents and small business owners. Sherita looks forward to continuing to promote Grandmont Rosedale as an opportunity community where diverse people and small businesses can thrive and prosper.


Tom Ridgway, Construction and Facilities Manager

As a lifelong resident of Grandmont Rosedale, Tom brings a unique and varied amount of expertise to GRDC. Tom has managed volunteer projects, commercial development, and several home repair projects. Tom has also managed many of our home renovation projects. He is a stickler for quality renovation, and has the patience and persistence to see the often complex projects through.


Kiki Louya, Economic Development Manager

Kiki is a Chef, Entrepreneur, Food Activist, and experienced non-profit professional working to build healthier, more equitable communities for all. Named one of “16 Black Chefs Changing Food in America” by The New York Times in 2019, her work has appeared in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Bon Appétit, the Washington Post, Women’s Health, and more.


Kitty Yarbrough, Community Engagement Manager

Kenyetta (“Kitty”) started at GRDC as an intern in August 2017 and subsequently took on the role as Community Engagement Manager. Kitty has worked with various agencies in and around Detroit. She brings her passion for community growth, the advancement of all people, and the elimination of social and economic marginalization to her work at GRDC.


Kathy Garrett, Fund Development and Communications Manager

Kathy has lived in Grandmont Rosedale since 1993, and has been involved in a number of community initiatives, events, and associations. Kathy’s background as a writer and her deep community knowledge make her position as the Fund Development and Communications Manager fitting. She is thrilled to work for GRDC, her community, and often brags about how she gets to walk to work.


JeNiece Freeman-Holt, Program Specialist

A recent graduate with a degree in Humanities from Michigan State University, JeNiece brings her creative background to her role. As the Program Specialist, JeNiece oversees the day-to-day operations and membership management at our co-working space, the Grand River Work Place. JeNiece also assists Kiki, our Economic Development Manager, to coordinate events and communications for GRDC’s economic development programs.


Jocelyn Moss, Operations Manager

Jocelyn has worked as a bookkeeper, an event planner, website designer, and office manager. As our Operations Manager, Jocelyn’s skillset enables her to keep our entire GRDC team organized. If you have a question, Jocelyn probably has the answer.
