We are very excited about this summer’s program and this is why you should be too!

  • Field trips to the Detroit Institute of Art, The Heidelberg Project, Hilberry Theatre and Redford’s Artist Village, as well as to a local photography dark room (transportation will be provided)
  • Youth will write and perform a play under the guidance of a Wayne State University Theatre Professor
  • Youth will create different types of art including paintings, photography, recycled art, fun Pinterest crafts and more!
  • Throughout the course of the program youth will compile and work on an online portfolio in order to track their progress and achievements to share with friends, family, potential employers, teachers or college admissions counselors
  • Youth will develop and implement a community improvement project
  • Youth will display their artwork and perform their play in  gallery setting at the end of the program
  • All of these activities and many more will help your child build artistic skills and learn valuable lessons in planning, organizing, and implementing projects in the community!
