Sunny daffodils are standing tall, trees are showing off their baby leaves, we can finally put our winter coats away, and the garbage along our streets that’s been hidden all winter announces itself like an unwanted guest who has stayed too long.  It’s time to come together for some spring cleaning!  Saturday, May 3 from 9 am – 1 pm is the Motor City Makeover and we need many hands to spruce up our streets.  There will be three locations where the clean-up will focus its efforts:  Flintstone Park at Rosemont and Acacia,  along the Grand River bus route starting at the Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation office, 19800 Grand River, and Southfield Service Drive, North Rosedale Park is working from McNichols to Grand River, Rosedale Park is working from Grand River to Lyndon, Grandmont #1 is working from Lyndon to Schoolcraft .  Trash bags, gloves, and water for hardworking volunteers will be provided.  Sunday, May 4 is our Neighborhood Open House so we need to get our neighborhood ready for company, for the guests we want to stay!  The Motor City Makeover is a city-wide effort to clean and beautify the neighborhoods of Detroit.  Let’s make our corner of the city shine!
