|Three weeks ago it was announced that Jeff Adler, a Detroit native, was giving $750,000 to Detroit. Not to the city government itself, but to organizations that he believes are helping revitalize Detroit. As a two-time North Rosedale Park resident, he enthusiastically gave a monetary donation to the North Rosedale Park Civic Association which is currently undertaking a large capital improvement project for renovations to the Community House, to the tune of $50,000.

Adler stated in the Detroit Free Press that “by giving something to the North Rosedale Park Civic Association, they can do something that, in at least that community, can help that square mile and a half become a magnet for people to come there and start spreading from there.”

This past week Adler and his wife, Ellen were in Detroit to present the gifts. The North Rosedale Park Civic Association hosted a benefactor’s reception for the Adler’s as a token of appreciate for the generous donation. Below are Adler’s remarks about how he came to call North Rosedale Park home.
