Join us on Sunday, July 21, at 19120 Grand River Ave. for the first Grandmont Rosedale SOUP. For $5 you get soup, salad and a vote for your favorite project (the winner receives the entrance fees). Doors at 4 pm, proposals at 5 pm, dinner at 6 pm and winner announced by 7 pm.

The following proposals have been selected by the Grandmont Rosedale SOUP committee and will be presented at 5 PM this Sunday.

 

Meditation and Reading Park
The development of a strip of land in front of the Redford Branch Library as
an area to sit, read and/or meditate.

Northbound Southfield Service Drive Spruce-Up
Remove weeds and tall grass from a section of the northbound Southfield
Service Drive and replace with hosta/day lilies to beautify the area.

Up Front Beautification
Just A Bit Eclectic Tea Shop needs to a permanent sign installed to
increase visibility of the business.

Love Where You Live- McNichols Rd. Gateway Art
Construction and installation of public art at the intersection of Southfield
and McNichols Rds. and/or Evergreen and McNichols Rds.

 

The soup menu will include Cucumber Mint Soup, Coconut Curry, Vegan Chili, Gazpacho and Corn Chowder. Salads for the day will be Red bean Spinach Salad, Pasta Salad, Mixed Greens Salad and Fruit Salad.

Grandmont Rosedale SOUP is the latest in a series of neighborhood-based spin-offs from Detroit SOUP.  Detroit SOUP has been featured on the NBC Nightly News: Detroit SOUP, Founder Amy Kaherl, Featured On ‘NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams’And was recently honored by the White House: White House honors Detroit SOUP.
